Call 265-1800 to set up your account.

After you select your user name and password, follow these 3 simple steps:

1.  Create Dial-Up Connection

Open MY COMPUTER, (For Windows ME, open CONTROL PANEL) then DIAL-UP NETWORKING.  Double-click on MAKE NEW CONNECTION.  In COMPUTER NAME box, enter Lindberg Tech.  Leave DEVICE box alone.  Click NEXT.  In area code box, enter 814.  In phone number box, enter 265-2200.  Click FINISH.  With your right mouse button, right-click on Lindberg Tech icon.  Left-click on PROPERTIES from pop-up menu.  Select SERVER TYPES tab  (For Windows ME, click on NETWORK tab.).  Check ONLY “Use Software Compression” in advanced option group.  In allowed network protocols group, check ONLY TCP/IP.  Click on “TCP/IP Settings” button.  Choose “Server Assigned IP Address” and “Specify Name Server Addresses”  In Primary DNS box, enter 129.250.35.250.  In Secondary DNS box, enter 129.250.35.251.  Click OK.  Click OK.  Double click on Lindberg Tech icon.  Verify that the phone number is just 265-2200.  (No 814 in front)  If it isn’t, click on Dial Properties button and set area code to 814, phone number to 265-2200.  Click Apply button, then OK. In user name box, enter your email address.  (For example, john@greatlite.com.)  Enter your password in lower case letters.  Click Connect.  Your PC should establish a connection to our service.  On your task bar at the bottom of your screen, double-click the icon of two PCs connected with a wire.  Click on Disconnect button.

 2.  Assign Default Connection in Internet Explorer

 Open Internet Explorer.  Choose Work Offline.  From TOOLS menu, select INTERNET OPTIONS.  Click on CONNECTION tab.  Highlight Lindberg Tech in main box.  Click on SET DEFAULT button.  Select “Always Dial My Default Connection”.  Click on GENERAL tab.  Set your start page to http://www.GreatLITE.com.  Click OKAY.  Close Internet Explorer.  The next time you start Internet Explorer, it will dial Lindberg Information Technology.

 3.  Add New E-Mail Address

 Open Outlook Express.  Work Offline.  From TOOLS menu, select ACCOUNTS.  Click on MAIL tab.  Click on ADD button.  Choose MAIL.  Enter your real name.  Click NEXT.  Select “I already have an email address…” and enter your new email address as your_user_name@greatlite.com.  (Substitute your_user_name with the name you have chosen.)  Click NEXT.  Leave POP3 box alone.  Enter incoming mail server as: pop.greatlite.com.  Enter SMTP outgoing server as: smtp.greatlite.com.  Click NEXT.  In Account Name, enter your user name, which is the portion of your email address BEFORE the @ sign.  (DO NOT enter the @greatlite.com portion.)   Enter your password.  Click “Remember Password” box, if desired.  Do NOT check Secure Password box.  Click NEXT.  Click FINISH.  Click CLOSE.  Close Outlook Express.
